Hebrews 11: 27 (CEV)
Because of his faith, Moses left Egypt. Moses had seen the invisible God and wasn't afraid of the king's anger.
Message.
Moses did not just refuse his identity as Pharaoh's grandson; he also forsook Egypt. These are radical decisions for any person in their prime to make-what was the reason for these bold decisions? Exodus gives us an account of what happened but not the reason for what he did. We read in Exodus 1 that Moses fled for his life as a fugitive from the Law.
The New is in the Old concealed; the Old is in the New revealed (St Augustine of Hippo). It is in the New Testament that the reason for his actions is revealed.
The reason Moses changed was that he saw God for no one sees God and goes back the same. It was God who told him about his true identity and gave him his commission. His mistake was that he did not wait for instruction and went ahead of God. Years later he met God in the burning bush and then when he went for the 10 commandments, he met Him also.
This "Invisible God" has been revealed to us in the form of a Jesus Christ in the New Testament-for the Word became flesh and lived among us and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and Truth. (John 1:14)
That is the whole Christmas story- And without controversy great is the [i]mystery of godliness: God[ was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit,Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world,Received up in glory. 1 Tim 3:16 (KJV)
The substance of Faith is the Word of God which is God-John 1:1. For with the heart a man believes and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation-what does the person believes- that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation Romans 10:9-10
.
Faith starts with God (the substance of God with is the Word of God) and ends with God (the glory of God also known as Testimony)
The moment anyone sees the Bible as the Word of God, faith will grow. The moment you see it as a history book written by humans-you will grow your knowledge of history but never about faith. For God is the Alpha and Omega of Faith.
We continue to see God through the face of Christ which is the Word of God- For God, who said, "Let there be light in the darkness," has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Cor 4:6
Why couldn't Jesus do many mighty works in his village? They saw him as human- When Jesus had finished telling these stories and illustrations, he left that part of the country. He returned to Nazareth, his hometown. When he taught there in the synagogue, everyone was amazed and said, "Where does he get this wisdom and the power to do miracles?" Then they scoffed, "He's just the carpenter's son, and we know Mary, his mother, and his brothers—James, Joseph,[f]Simon, and Judas. All his sisters live right here among us. Where did he learn all these things?" And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him. Then Jesus told them, "A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family." And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief. Matthew 13:53-58
Anyone who saw Jesus as God received the answer to their request and the same can happen to you right now if you believe it and confess it.
Are You Born Again?
The walk of faith starts with having a personal relationship with God. The Bible says for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We were, therefore, cut off from God as a result, not of our sin but the sin of Adam. The penalty for that sin is that Christ had to die for us to reconcile us with God. By believing that Christ came to die and confessing with your mouth you become a child of God- that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." Romans 10:9-10
If you don't know him yet, I am here to help you do that by praying this prayer with me
Lord Jesus, I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father from when you will come back to judge the living and the Dead. I have believed with my heart that you are Lord and have confessed with my mouth and so I thank you I have been saved from my sins. Amen
If you prayed this prayer-send me an email and let me know of your decision. Also, look for a Bible-believing church and start attending service.
